Hello, Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!
(on Wednesday)
(on Wednesday)
This week we are back with the last
"tangled in a string" challenge.
We will use String #150
and the tangle
This string is about as 'hearty' as I can go for Valentine's Day.
I'm not a heart kinda girl I suppose!
black Copic Multiliner SP 0.2, 0.7, black Micron 0.05, HB pencil, blender, in sketchbook
Tangles: Hollyhock
I thought Hollyhock fit well into the string and looked more
leaf/flowerlike than heartlike.
(is it just me or does this tangle remind you of Margarete's style of tangling?
Do you use this tangle a lot Margarete?)
My finished page . . . maybe . . .
I think it may need a few things around the tiles, words or tangles perhaps?
Suggestions?
Looking forward to seeing your completed tiles!

Beautiful tile! It looks very elegant! Hope you are having a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tile and a beautiful challenge. Thank you Joey. My tile is almost ready and I'm gonna post it very soon. I enjoyed this kind of challenges very much.
ReplyDeleteMe too have a book where I put in my favorite tiles. On each page I have written a nice quote to remember, maybe a suggestion?
Warm regards from Belgium
I like Ria's suggestion of a quote, but my own suggestion would be to scatter a few words around the tile. Probably I would use "wisdom," "creativity," "order," whatever. Another idea would be to use a few freestanding tangles here and there, as well.
ReplyDeleteActually, I like the page just fine as it is!!

Thank you very much for this heartwarming challenge, Joey! I enjoyed it very much.
ReplyDeleteYour own combination of the last tiles on your sketchbook side are wonderful. I like them all. Maybe I would bring the tiles together with few connecting patterns.
To my biggest surprise, you personally addressed me on your blog. Even though I am the only woman who translates heavy construction equipment and modern architecture into perfect watercolor after the appreciative comment of my painting colleague and architect, my Tangles obviously show that I like to paint and draw floral motives, perhaps as a contrast to technology.
Nevertheless, I had never consciously used the attractive pattern Hollyhock. And now of course I have built it into my tile for your challenge. Thank you very much for the tip with the nice pattern. Of course, I also used my new pattern Herzlich.
Happy Valentines day and best wishes from Germany, Margarete
Beautiful tiles everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet challenge! This is my first entry! Looking forward to more! Happy Vday!
