joey's weekly tangle challenge #196

Happy holidays everyone!
Well this will be our last challenge post of 2017!
Hard to believe that another year has gone by, I feel they keep getting faster.

I am going to leave you with another word finish my tile this week.
Let's use tangles that start with the letters in the word
P E A C E
With so much going on all over the world, I think it is on the top of all of our
 Christmas wish lists!

I would also like to let each of you know
just how much I appreciate that you come here.  It is so wonderful to be able to meet others who share the same creative interests.

I will be changing the format slightly when I return
with another challenge on
Monday January 1st, 2018!
(in case Santa drops off some lovely new
pens or supplies and you need to try them out asap!)

Enjoy your loved ones this holiday season!
 Take care,
~ joey ~

joey's weekly tangle challenge #195

Back with another weekly tangle challenge
and we are working with a holiday theme this month.

Here is your holiday
"finish the tile" challenge.
Let's use the tangle
 Jax

This snowflake string idea was sent all the way from Germany by the lovely Margarete!
Thank you Margarete, I hope that you enjoy
completing your challenge!

We have had chilly temperatures here but no snow lately,
maybe this will give Mother Nature a hint!

Is it still green or a winter wonderland where you live?

joey's weekly tangle challenge #194

Wow how can it already be December?!  Where did the time go?
I have had a busy month with final preparations for a
Winter Art Show that took place this past weekend.

I will share a few photos for those of you who didn't see the fun photos taken by the show organizers I shared on my Facebook page.
Set in a cozy potters studio down a country lane, over a dozen artists gathered to display their work for a very special show.  I was extremely grateful to be included.

My pieces fall under the category of 'Eco-Art' as I only use natural or recycled materials.   This year I made fabric buckets, zip bags, pillows, needle felted pussy willows and sprigs, greeting cards and tags, embroidered dala horses, beeswax candles and some jewelry.
Most of my items sold in the first hour, I could not have been more blown away . . .  and so grateful!

As we gently ease into the Holiday Season,
I have some challenges that I think you will enjoy.
Thank you so much to those of you who submitted ideas!
Our first Holiday challenge involves tangling a word, an idea sent in by Cathy.

This challenge can be completed in 1 of 2 ways, it's entirely up to you.

- Option 1:  use the word Joy on your tile and tangle around it using tangles that begin with the letter J.

- Option 2:  give "embedded letters" a try.
This technique was recently introduced to me through Stephanie Jennifer's Travelling Tangles Swap and I am really excited to experiment with it some more.
Here is a link to a demonstration by Maria at "Kitchen Table Tangles".

Enjoy the beginning of the Holiday Season!
