Tangles: Maryhill, Paradox, Cadent

In case you were wondering,
this is what the page in my sketchbook looks like so far . . .

 . . .  I guess we have 2 more to go!?

And wishing you luck with the Groundhog later in the week!

weekly challenges

This week the Diva's challenge is about Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day.  We are to tangle a tile with the ribbon logo as a string or tangle a paper ribbon and create the logo.  The colour for MSAD is purple.
I decided on the 2D version so I have drawn the symbol and used the tangle Heart Strings because her little man seriously tugs at my heart strings!  He is a brave little guy, as is Laura and her entire family.  A big hug for each of them today!  xo

weekly challenges

Today's Diva challenge #347 was to find things and trace them for your string.

I looked around my desk and found a tube of paint, a small heart shaped tin and a bulldog clip.

I went with a red theme (pen and watercolour) and used the following tangles:
Barber pole, Puf, Cadent, Shattuck, Paradox, Warped Eggs, Heart Strings, Tipple and Maryhill.
Lot of tangles and a fun challenge!

joey's weekly tangle challenge #199

This is what I came up with,
but I'm not feeling like I'm back in the groove yet.
I'll have to keep tanglin'!

Have a great week!

weekly challenges

I haven't done a 'weekly challenges' post in a very long time!
This week I completed the Diva's #346 challenge which was a Duotangle using the tangles Phicops and Huggins.

black Copic Multiliner SP 0.05, 0.2, 0.5; HB pencil; blender; round tile
Added tangle: (which technically means it is no longer a Duotangle shhhh)
Dicso (and maybe a tiny bit of Cheesecloth)

 Thanks for stopping by,
have a great week,
~ joey ~

joey's weekly tangle challenge #198

Well not using Mr Linky didn't feel right
so I think I have figured out how to use the kind of plan
that displays names rather than thumbnails.
I was worried that I might miss seeing someone's contribution
in the sea of comments, so hopefully this will work better.

So let's get on with this week's challenge!

I haven't done a challenge where I pick
a string and one tangle in a long time
and I spotted some neat strings that I think will be fun to try
so I'm going to call this series the
"tangled in a string challenges"!
(tee hee)

This week we will use
and add the tangle
(additional tangles, colour, etc. is up to you!)

Oh and . . .
I'm going to try something else new by completing the challenge
ahead of time! (big challenge for me!)
We'll see how long I can keep it up, but it may
help me stay on track . . . I hope?!

Here's my challenge I can't wait to see yours!

Here's to a creative New Year!

joey's weekly tangle challenge #197

Happy 2018 to you!
I hope that you are enjoying a
wonderful, restful holiday season!

So far our season has been filled with as many creative moments that we can fit in including gift and card making, home decorating, baking and even a few more eco-art creations squeezed in there too!

I mentioned in my last post that I was going to be making a slight adjustment to our weekly challenges and I hope that it won't be too big of a disappointment to you.
I have decided to stop subscribing to the Mr Linky gadget.  Traffic to the new website has slowed to about 100/day, and while most of that is for the weekly challenge, the actual number of participants has dropped.  I wish I had more time to try to attract more visitors but at the moment the day to day of family life takes priority.
I still enjoy doing the challenges but it just doesn't warrant the yearly cost for the gadget anymore.

So we will be switching to a comment link up method instead.
Leave a comment with your URL and we can link up to each other that way.

Here is the first challenge of the year!
This can be done on a tile or in a sketchbook.
Start by dividing the tile or page in half either vertically or horizontally.
Then draw the following shape on either side of the line.

Tangle inside the shape on one side and outside of the shape on the other.
Tangles are up to you.

Remember to leave a URL link in your comment below
so that we can visit you.
Happy start to the year!
