joey's weekly tangle challenge #194

Wow how can it already be December?!  Where did the time go?
I have had a busy month with final preparations for a
Winter Art Show that took place this past weekend.

I will share a few photos for those of you who didn't see the fun photos taken by the show organizers I shared on my Facebook page.
Set in a cozy potters studio down a country lane, over a dozen artists gathered to display their work for a very special show.  I was extremely grateful to be included.

My pieces fall under the category of 'Eco-Art' as I only use natural or recycled materials.   This year I made fabric buckets, zip bags, pillows, needle felted pussy willows and sprigs, greeting cards and tags, embroidered dala horses, beeswax candles and some jewelry.
Most of my items sold in the first hour, I could not have been more blown away . . .  and so grateful!

As we gently ease into the Holiday Season,
I have some challenges that I think you will enjoy.
Thank you so much to those of you who submitted ideas!
Our first Holiday challenge involves tangling a word, an idea sent in by Cathy.

This challenge can be completed in 1 of 2 ways, it's entirely up to you.

- Option 1:  use the word Joy on your tile and tangle around it using tangles that begin with the letter J.

- Option 2:  give "embedded letters" a try.
This technique was recently introduced to me through Stephanie Jennifer's Travelling Tangles Swap and I am really excited to experiment with it some more.
Here is a link to a demonstration by Maria at "Kitchen Table Tangles".

Enjoy the beginning of the Holiday Season!

  4. Congratulations that you sale your art objects in such a short time! Something like that has never happened to me. Probably the visitors can never decide on my too large selection.
Thank you also for the in the truest sense of the word joy bringing Challenge! Thanks also to Cathy for the idea!

  5. I always look at your challenges, but don't have a means of participating - no blogspot, etc. But, I thought I would make a suggestion for a challenge. Lyn Mead has a pattern called "Zentwining " that looks as if, with colour, it could look Christmassy. It also looks like a real challenging challenge. Vena
